Join your classmates, professors, and friends to network and have fun at this fall’s WALSAA Football Fire-Up!! Plans include visits from Bucky Badger and Alice in Dairyland, live music from The Jimmys, a silent auction with proceeds to CALS scholarships, famous steak sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, brats, potatoes ole, drinks, wine, and various beer selections.
The time is dependent on the kick-off time of the UW-Maryland game, which will be determined closer to September 20.
Known for having everyone in the crowd on their feet, The Jimmys are an award winning, high energy, 7-piece funky blues band with touring experience throughout the US, the Caribbean and Europe. The band is led by seasoned keyboard and Hammond B-3 player Jimmy Voegeli. He is joined by Perry Weber on guitar and vocals, Chris Sandoval on drums, John Wartenweiler on bass and a killer horn section featuring Pete Ross on sax, Joe Goltz on trombone and Jon Schipper on trumpet.
